Just how cold was January 2014? According to this source, there were 4406 cold records broken and 1073 snowfall records. We will see how many records will be broken for February, 2014.
How has Chicago’s winter been? According to the map below it has been cold. According to this report this winter has indeed “bad” compared to previous seasons; as of Feb. 5 of this year, 2013-2014 ranked as the sixth-most severe since the 1950s.
